“Special thanks to the BOW SIRIUS for being extremely proactive in regards to the current state of affairs.
Prior to arrival, Captain Robert Karlsson, Chief Officer Ronnie Pondoyo and our gang worked out operational procedures in order to limit the exposure between vessel and shore crews. We never entered the vessel interior, only boarding to gauge and sample cargo tanks, immediately disembarking upon completion. Hand sanitizer was placed at stations both at top and bottom of gangway. Scans of the relative pages of tank tables were provided and cargo documents exchanged via email. We had a few glitches but overall, it was a safe and successful port call with no delays. These unique procedures will serve as model for future vessel calls as we continue to 'tweak" the system.
