Powering global chemical logistics

Who we are

Your trusted partner in chemical transportation and storage

The Odfjell Group is one of the world leaders in the global market for seaborne transportation and storage of chemicals and other specialty bulk liquids. Our 70+ advanced stainless steel tankers operate 24/7/365, delivering the chemicals needed to fuel production worldwide. Ashore in the US, Asia, and Europe, our terminals connect sea and land, providing quality handling and storage of anything liquid.

What we do

Transporting your everyday essentials – safely, efficiently, and sustainably

Our core business is handling chemicals and liquids. All over the world, companies depend on these ingredients to create products we all use, every day: medicines, phones, laptops, cars, protective gear, fertilizers, paints, clothing – to name a few. Chances are that the building blocks for these products have been transported and handled by us. We see our business as an integrated and vital part of our customers' value chains.

Our culture

Company rooted in family

What started as a Norwegian family business with one vessel, is now a publicly listed company and a world-leading logistics service provider. Established in Bergen in 1914, Odfjell pioneered the development of the chemical tanker trade in the 1950s and the tank storage business in the late 1960s. Our culture is built on long-term thinking, integrity, and care. More than 2,300 colleagues across 11 global offices ensure smooth, safe operations every day.

Safety and sustainability

Sustainability at Odfjell is about the long term. It is about the decisions we take today to create a better tomorrow. We recognize our responsibility and actively work to reduce our environmental impact, improve energy efficiency, and prepare our operations for a low-carbon future – all while maintaining safe, reliable, and responsible operations.
