WISTA is the Women’s International Shipping and Trading Association, and VP Corporate HR Ingjerd Nettestad kicked off by thanking the organization for its important work in creating networks and raising awareness across the industry. She shared Odfjell’s gender balance target to reach 30% on all levels by 2030, underscoring that inclusivity is all about culture, “the micro behaviors and actions we take every day”.
VP Corporate IT Alena Pedersen then shared Odfjell's take on AI and digitalization:
“Data is the new gold today, but it does not have much value when it is not used. We need to collaborate, work and learn across functions, departments, and companies to unleash the value of digitalization. I’m sure every one of us will benefit from being curious and experimenting with already available solutions such as ChatGPT. AI use cases are everywhere and a definite help for us, f.ex. in strengthening cybersecurity. We obviously must be critical as well, but this paradigm shift is happening as we speak. Hype or help? I would say both.”
