The Tanker Operator of the Year Award is one of the five categories in the Tanker Shipping and Trade Awards, organized by Riviera Maritime Media. The award “recognizes a tanker operating company that has set new industry benchmarks / broken new ground over the past 12 months through responding innovatively to challenging markets, pioneering new approaches, challenging old orthodoxies, and setting new standards in day-to-day operations.”
Odfjell is shortlisted “for its pioneering and proactive approach to reducing carbon emissions through the adoption of new technologies.”
The other finalists are Tsakos Energy Navigation, Shell International Trading and Shipping Company. Thome Group and Capital Group. All finalists have set new standards in various aspects of the maritime industry, but with our forward-looking and sustainable contributions, it is very fitting that we receive the recognition.
The winner is decided through online votes, so we need to roll up our sleeves once more so Odfjell will again be recognized as Tanker Operator of the Year. We have done it before, and we will do it again – let us all vote and spread the word!
