Summits have been held in the previous years as well, focusing mainly on the trade between MEG and South East Asia, but this is the first summit as a new trade team for Asia and Oceania.

“It was a very productive and constructive summit, and we are ready for the contract season.”

Thomas Lund, VP Asia

The team spent two days working in different task groups analyzing the different trades, our current contract portfolio, target contracts, customers and competitors, as well as our strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. The summit also addressed and discussed the imminent IMO 2020 bunker issues, as well as operational and technical challenges. Clarksons Singapore presented a promising outlook of the market in Asia, underlining our known positive view.
