Sharing experiences to avoid incidents and improve safety performance

30.03.2023
In Odfjell’s drive to further improve safety performance, lessons learned one-pagers are used to share the learnings from an incident or a near-miss, and to aid in the prevention of future incidents.

These one-pagers are distributed around the company in order to raise knowledge and improve safety. All lessons learned one-pagers from ship management, tankers, terminals, and corporate may now be found in one convenient location, accessible via a dedicated link on Odfjell Insite’s front page for crew members with Microsoft Exchange access, and here on Bow News.

It is strongly recommended to use the one-pagers during safety talks and meetings. Such lessons learned from our colleagues can be highly relevant for other teams and activities and are very likely to be applied to protect our people, the environment, and our assets.
