Senior management ship visits resume

VP Fleet Management Knut Erik Fredriksen pays visit to Bow Chain, Bow Engineer and Bow Fagus, cherishing the opportunity to talk to the crew in person in over two years.

The visits took place in Rotterdam and Antwerp where the vessels were at port last week. The eased Covid-19 restrictions allowed the management to resumed onboard visits, which were replaced by virtual visits at the height of the pandemic.

During the visit, Fredriksen extended his and the management's gratitude to the seafarers for going the extra mile throughout the Covid period.

"Without our seafarers’ long-term loyalty, it would been much more challenging for us to get through."

He also conveyed Ship Management's satisfaction with the performance Fleet Bergen has delivered on safety, quality and cost during the pandemic, emphasizing safe working attitude and practices as the main contributor to achieving such positive results. The visit also verified that the Partners in Safety Program is up and running on all three vessels visited.

"It was great to meet our seafarers again after more than 2.5 years since my last visit. I felt very much welcome onboard all vessels and it was nice to speak with our crew and the Shipboard Management Teams. I would like to thank all the officers and crew onboard Bow Chain, Bow Engineer and Bow Fagus for the warm welcome I was shown during my visit.”
