The dynamic within the five workstreams is good. The teams are analyzing the identified initiatives in cooperation with Cardo, and a total 41 initiatives are currently in process. We are also pursuing how our existing digital platforms can contribute to improved cost awareness.
In addition to the initiatives identified by the workstreams, several of you have shared your improvement ideas.
We have received 23 initiatives through the platform on Insite. The ideas cover a wide spectrum; concrete workflows and processes, policies, training and collaboration. Some ideas address specific departments, the vessels or locations, while others are organization-wide.

Many thanks to all of you who have shared ideas – it is much appreciated! We still have 2.5 weeks left of the project period and we welcome everyone to submit ideas on how we can work smarter. Small or large, every input is appreciated!
Project Spring gives a great opportunity to everybody in the organisation, both from shore and sea, to bring up the many ideas which are typically discussed in the informal daily conversations among colleagues.
Alessio Contran, Senior Technical Superintendent and member of the Drydocking team of Project Spring, shares:
“The brightest ideas get the chance to be approached in a structured way and evaluated, so to quantify the benefit they can bring to Odfjell as an integrated shipping company, with focus on our bottom-line results (regardless if we work in OM or OT). So far, the DD workstream in which I participate, could identify the improvement areas where we should focus going forward, combining the many different aspects together, so to provide a holistic and clear picture of the complex drydocking process. Expectations are to enhance better cooperation between departments, eliminating inefficiencies and streamlining the decision process, based on knowledge and existing historical data. I encourage everyone to use this opportunity to bring up all the positive suggestions for improvement - at all levels – I know there is a team of keen individuals eager to bring them forward for the benefit of all Odfjellers!”
