OiP units undergo Basic Life Support Training

In a recent initiative aimed at enhancing emergency response capabilities, fourteen members of Manila Odfjell’ers undertook training in Basic Life Support techniques. Facilitated by the Philippine Red Cross on April 11-12, 2024, the program saw enthusiastic participation from various units of OiP.

Manila, April 13, 2024 – The comprehensive training covered crucial aspects of emergency medical aid, including Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Automated External Defibrillator (AED) usage, patient handling techniques, and diverse bandaging methodologies. 

Following intense sessions and hands-on demonstrations, participants underwent a thorough evaluation. Remarkably, all thirteen individuals successfully cleared the assessments, demonstrating commendable proficiency in life-saving procedures. 

 

The exceptional performance of several participants earned them special recognition: 

Best in CPR: Mharis De Jesus and Mae Yangao 
 
Best in Bandaging/Immobilization: Mharis De Jesus, Princess Capuli, and Jocelyn Lumbay  
 
Best in Exam and Best Overall First Aider: Princess Capuli
