Kristian Mørch and Gareth Williams rallied up and joined our long-time customer LyondellBasell’s team for the MS 150 ride.
Close encounters at the Sunday starting field.

The BP MS 150 is a two-day fundraising bike ride organized by the National MS Society. The ride is the largest event of its kind in North America, with 13,000 cyclist, 3,500 volunteers, and countless spectators along the route and at the finish line in Austin.

The cycle challenge is 150 mile long, from Houston to Austin. Odfjell has been part of Lyondell’s team since 2015, and this year Kristian, Gareth and their wives Kristianna and Vanessa took on the challenge in company with a number of Lyondell senior management. The Lyondell team is spearheaded by Jim Guilfoyle, EVP Advanced Polymer Solutions and Global Supply Chain.

The LyondellBasell team all set.

The cycle route starts in Houston with an overnight stop in La Grange at Lyondell’s tented facility – complete with barbeque and band – where all the 119 Lyondell sports riders sleep on camp beds before the Sunday morning ride starts at 07:00.

LyondellBasell is one of the top ten Corporate Fundraisers, donating more than USD 160,000 to the campaign that goes towards finding a cure for Multiple Sclerosis.

Happy bikers: Kristianna and Kristian Mørch after crossing the finish line.
