Odfjell ships celebrate the holidays

They may be working round the clock, but our colleagues on board sure know how to celebrate! Here are the highlights of the holiday celebrations on board some of our ships.​​​​​​​

Bow Clipper

While waiting for berth availability at Port of Campana in Argentina, Bow Clipper took the opportunity to hold their holiday party.

The crew celebrated with food, games, a table tennis tournament and a Christmas lantern competition.

Bosun Abundio Balot’s Christmas star made from natural whisk broom got the jury’s nod.

Four other entries were recognized for creativity: Motorman John Michael Jacildo’s, second place (top left); AB Raymond Montealto’s, third place (top right); Third Officer Jerry Pilapil’s, fourth place (bottom left); and Messman Rhogie Nardo’s, fifth place (bottom right).

A table tennis competition was also held, with crewmembers teaming up for the matches.

The duo of Chief Engineer John Lloyd Inocencio and Chief Officer Jordan Dax Cayao (top left) won the tournament. The other finalists were: Captain Edwin Hernandez and Fourth Engineer Milbert John Singular, second place (top right); AB Raymond Montealto and Fitter Christopher Inducil, third place (bottom left); and OS Ian Nucup and Messman Rhogie Nardo, fourth place (bottom right).

Finally, some fun games to complete the party.

The highlight of Bow Engineer’s holiday celebration this year was the Christmas Hat Competition that challenged the crewmembers’ creativity and resourcefulness.

Bow Trajectory kicked off their three-part holiday celebration with Captain Fidel Perez’s signature event, a cooking contest entitled "The Master Chef and Kusina Master Onboard Competition 2021".

OS Clyde Jkyle Pabalan claimed the Master Chef title with his winning dish, Pampanga’s Seafood Cajun.

The mouth-watering menu also showcased Pangasinan’s Pigar-Pigar by Motorman Robin Salazar (top left), Seared Pork Belly with Apple Glaze by Messman Nathaniel Mallorca (bottom left) and Iloilo’s Pininyahang Manok Espesyal by Third Engineer Angelo Doloria (right).

The second part of Bow Trajectory’s holiday celebration comprised of games that featured exciting prizes and of course, a Christmas dinner.

The vessel's three-part celebration was concluded with their year-ender event, a "Disney Lip Sync Competition."
