Stockman is an annual award initiated by the Norwegian Society of Financial Analysts to stimulate quality reporting to shareholders and stakeholders in finance. The small/middle-sized class includes all but the 30 largest companies listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange. Odfjell was nominated after an extensive nomination process.

In total, Odfjell scored a 6,773 average. The other finalists were Kid, Europris and Multiconsult. Kid (chain of home décor/accessories shops) got the top score.
The award statutes state that "to be the best in strategic investor communication, companies have to share relevant and solid information about their business to the financial market, and publish the best annual and quarterly reports based on finance analytics principles."
The Stockman has been awarded for more than 30 years. This year’s jury members represented KinderStiff Consulting, DNB Markets, Folketrygdfondet, Carousel, Arctic Fund Management, Permian and Pareto Securities.
