LyondellBasell, one of the largest plastics, chemicals and refining companies in the world, recently presented Odfjell with its LyondellBasell Safety Performance Award.
Odfjell's 2017 safety performance was recognized by LyondellBasell as part of their 'GoalZERO' campaign.
Lyondellbasell is one of Odfjell’s most important customers. In the last three years, Odfjell has increased volumes transported for Lyondell from 270,000 mts to almost 400,000 mts per annum in 2017. For Lyondell, this means that almost 50% of their bulk liquid volumes are carried by Odfjell Tankers from the USG to the Far East as well as to South America and Europe.

Goal Zero is not about achieving industry leading statistics, it is about sending everyone home from a Lyondell site safely every day. That same safety focus extends outside of the refinery and Lyondell’s product stewardship means oversight that their products are safely handled along the supply chain during transportation and delivery.
Odfjell is a key service provider and Lyondell rely not just on the real-time vetting process but monitor our safety performance through our LTI’s and other initiatives to ensure that safety is a central value at the very core of our organization.
Odfjell is proud to be selected by Lyondell to receive an award for our 2017 Goal Zero Safety Performance!
The award, given to "suppliers who meet on-time delivery requirements, conform to order specifications, and prove continual improvement through significant, documented value-add projects", was received by OTH for the support it provided to keep Eastman's business going sometime during October 2017.
