Sudesh Kamath was chairing the first session of the India Tanker Shipping & Trade Summit 2019, covering 'Seaborne Transportation of Chemical Tanker Trade.
The panelists in the session were all experienced chemical tanker professionals. The discussion on stage and question from the audience focused on current industry challenges such as tonnage oversupply, IMO 2020 and the industry preparedness, recycling of ships, increasing tonne mile, and trade barriers.
Kamath also took part in a later "question and answer" panel forum. The summit is an annual event that gathers 200+ delegates from refinery, oil marketing companies, shipowners, terminals, law firms and ship suppliers to "discuss the topics of common interest".
