Willy Thorsen, CEO of OMSA, was the seminar's master of ceremonies. This was his first client seminar, which served as a good introduction for clients, providing them with a better knowledge of his experience in the sector and enabling him a platform to communicate the future ambitions for Odfjell Tankers and Odfjell Mazibuko SA with our clients.
Participants were treated to informative presentations from Odfjell's Ole Ivar Steinsland, Senior Ship Broker and OMSA's Malcolm Chetty, Commercial Manager, who offered clients insight into the different trade lanes that Odfjell can offer both locally and globally from a Commercial Desk view.
The seminar also featured presentations from Odfjell's Anette Wik Siden, Senior Ship Operator and OMSA's Shamlin Chetty, Operation Manager, who presented from an operational standpoint, emphasized Odfjell's commitment to safety, and proposed various aspects for time saving, which reiterated our commitment to assisting our clients in saving money while making money.
Jacques Hugo, Investment Manager at Investec Bank was the guest speaker, giving an interesting and insightful view on the current economic storms that the world is facing.
Hans Christian Rabben, VP Middle East/India & Africa presented on emissions and what the future looks like for Odfjell, which was a big talking topic at the seminar.

Furthermore Khetha Ngubane, from OMSA's joint venture partner Nduna Maritime, presented on the progress with the Mnambithi terminal, which was informative to all attendees given the current constraints they face in bringing additional product to our shores.
Overall, the OMSA client seminar was a success, providing clients with informative presentations and networking opportunities, and giving insight into Odfjell's future plans and commitment to safety and sustainability.
