Situated in Umlazi B Section, Lindelani Senior Primary School serves approximately 395 pupils and employs eight teachers. With class sizes averaging 30 to 40 pupils, the school spans from grade RR, catering to children aged five, to Grade 7, accommodating those aged around 13 to 14.
“Odfjell is proudly B-BBEE compliant and prides itself in giving back to the community.”
Willy Thorsen, OMSA CEO
In direct response to a special request from the school's principal, OMSA has facilitated several significant enhancements. This includes the provision of blinds for the administration block, addressing both functional and privacy needs. Moreover, OMSA has supplied a refrigerator for the school's kitchen, vital for preserving perishable items for the students. Additional installations involved the introduction of shelves in the kitchen to facilitate organized storage of dry food items, as well as upgrades to the library's shelving units to enhance book and locker storage capabilities.
Principal Mdluli, appreciating OMSA's contributions, has expressed an additional need for support. This entails a request for a computer to augment office functions, along with a high-quality Riso Photocopy machine. The current machine's age and lack of serviceability have led to significant costs related to ink and maintenance, particularly during exam periods when printing question papers for students. OMSA, through CEO Willy Thorsen, has acknowledged these requests and pledged to evaluate and assist where possible.
“We will consider these and contribute where we can, alone or in cooperation with suppliers,” said OMSA CEO Willy Thorsen.
