Since Russia invaded Ukraine, the consequences for the Ukrainian people have been disastrous. Our hearts and sympathies go out to everyone who has been affected by this tragic situation.
In the hopes of making a positive difference, Odfjell has donated funds on behalf of all employees. The funds go to the Red Cross to support the critical work they are now doing on the ground in Ukraine. The greater Norwegian maritime community has echoed the donation.
While it is unclear how this war will unfold in the following weeks and months, it will surely have a long-term influence on all of us. Odfjell has a limited presence in the areas currently affected by the war, and has seen very few direct effects so far. However, we will experience indirect consequences, f.ex. on increased cyber risk, financial instability and market movements. We are keeping a close eye on the situation and have formed a dedicated working group to ensure that we tackle these issues as best we can.
