Preparations are underway for the 12-month shipboard training of the 26th batch of the Odfjell-NSA Cadetship Program cadets. The class is composed of 15 deck cadets and ten engine cadets.
The cadets with Captain Remigio Zamora, head of the Odfjell-NSA Cadetship Program, Kim Galura, Recruitment Coordinator, and Reny Ortega, Instructor.

The group has completed training courses to prepare them for their duties at sea, among which are the ELITE Intro-HSSE-APTA course, and the Basic Training for Oil and Chemical Tanker Cargo Operation. They have also been invited to attend one of the virtual socials as preview to the recreational aspect of life at sea.

The class first entered the Davao Merchant Marine Academy College of Southern Philippines in June 2019. Due to the pandemic, they took their fourth-year classes during their third year in the program, and would undergo their shipboard training in their fourth year.

The cadets are set to be deployed to Odfjell vessels from later this month until September. Meanwhile, the 27th batch— who will undergo their shipboard training on their third year as planned — will start their internship preparations next quarter.
