Odfjell seafarers joined cadets from the Norwegian Training Center at the Creating MORE Currents conference, sharing valuable insights on emerging issues in the industry.
The panel discussions covered three topics: bullying and harassment, expectations from seafarers who will start their career in 2030, and how these aspects challenge the hierarchy on board. The topics paved the way for thought-provoking insights, forward-looking conversations, and the identification of nuanced challenges the maritime industry anticipates in the coming years.
The office also served as the Royal Norwegian Embassy’s partner in presenting "War Sailor," Norway's official entry for the 'Best International Feature Film' category at the 95th Academy Awards. The film depicts the harrowing journey of two civilian merchant sailors thrust onto the frontlines during World War II, struggling for survival in a war they never volunteered for.
Before the screening, a reception was held, bringing together professionals from the maritime industry for networking and meaningful interactions.
