Before boarding, they gathered at our Manila office for a send-off session with OiP President and General Manager Agnes Enesio. In her message, Ms. Agnes encouraged the cadets to embrace every opportunity to learn and to develop the discipline and character that will guide them throughout their careers.
"Be hungry for learning, like a sponge — soak up every lesson, every task, every question. With the experienced leaders onboard our ships, you will receive training of the highest quality, preparing you not just for your first voyage but for a lifelong career at sea. Build curiosity, discipline, and integrity now, because the good habits you form today will shape you as officers tomorrow," she shared.
The cadets also received their cadetship jackets, a proud reminder of their preparation, dedication, and the exciting journey ahead.
