Naming ceremony and delivery of Bow Precision

The brand new ship was formally named Bow Precision during a ceremony at the Shin Kurushima Dockyard in Japan October 17th. She is now delivered to Odfjell Chemical Tankers on long term charter.

Bow Precision is a 35,155 dwt stainless steel chemical tanker with 28 tanks. The vessel is owned by Grace Ocean, a Nissen Kaiun affiliated company, and will be on long time charter to Odfjell Chemical Tankers together with a sister vessel due for delivery in January 2019. These vessels are a key part of our fleet growth initiative, and represents a valued addition of highly sophisticated, eco-friendly vessels to our fleet. 

The naming ceremony at the yard was attended by guests from the owners, the banks, the trading house and the shipyard. Odfjell was represented by Marketing Manager Ken Kurihara from Odfjell Japan, CEO Kristian Mørch and his wife Kristianna Mey, who had the honor of christening the vessel. 

Bow Precision was delivered to Odfjell Chemical Tankers on October 17th 2018 at 1600hrs LT, when she was riding to her port anchor at Shin Kurishima Yard anchorage. The vessel will be technically managed by Synergy and the crew is Indian. Her maiden voyage will be from China to Chile.
