OPI President and General Manager Agnes Enesio and Team Leader Documentation Perlas Belleza, together with Team Lead Crew and Family Affairs Olive de Vera, Manager Crew Planning & Training Administration Marites Villena, and Team Lead Vessel Handlers Wilen Villamor, represented Odfjell at the Joint Maritime Committee Meeting held in Makati, Manila on January 30

Organized in collaboration with Del Rosario and Del Rosario Law Offices, Odfjell’s legal services provider, the event brought together maritime professionals to discuss pivotal legal and operational updates impacting the industry.

The highlight of the meeting was the keynote presentation by the law firm’s Senior Partner Attorney Joseph Manolo Rebano. He provided an in-depth analysis of recent developments in seafarers’ rights and welfare, focusing on the implications of the Magna Carta of Filipino Seafarers.

His discussion covered topics such as dispute resolution, third doctor procedures, and compliance with updated wage remittance policies.

The meeting served as an excellent platform to exchange perspectives with other industry leaders and reaffirm Odfjell’s shared responsibility to uphold the highest standards in maritime operations.

“This meeting provided valuable insights into the regulatory landscape and reinforced the importance of collaboration within the maritime community,” shared Team Leader Documentation Perlas Belleza.

According to President and General Manager Agnes Enesio, “Odfjell remains steadfast in our mission to align with industry best practices, foster a supportive working environment, and ensure compliance with emerging regulations. By participating in forums like this, we strengthen our position as an industry leader while advocating for the rights and welfare of seafarers.”
