In Odfjell, data from approximately 20 applications, internal and external data sources, are extracted, transformed, and loaded into a data warehouse called Radar. There are four versions of Radar, and the oldest will stop working after 2026. All BI reports used by Odfjell Tankers are based on data stored in this Radar version, and they will not work after 2026.
For this reason, Project Nexus will focus on moving BI reports used by Odfjell Tankers and the Commercial Analysis Team into the new data platform. After this operation is completed, the transition into the new data platform for other parts of the organization will be done. At this stage, we will also start utilizing the other opportunities this platform will give us.
The project team is led by Erik Hjortland, VP Technology, and consists of both Odfjell colleagues and external consultants to speed up the transition work.
