20.01.2025
Odfjell’s Manila office buzzed with excitement as the company celebrated the Day of the Seafarer, a day dedicated to recognizing the invaluable contributions of seafarers to international trade and the global economy.

The theme for the 2024 celebration, centered around the hashtag #SafetyTipsAtSea, highlights the crucial role seafarers play in promoting safety within the maritime sector. This year’s campaign focused on the various ways every seafarer contributes to making the workplaces safer, underlining the importance of their efforts in maintaining high safety standards at sea.

At the Manila office, visiting seafarers enjoyed a day packed with engaging activities, delectable snacks, and exciting merchandise giveaways. The celebration featured a Pagibig/HDMF Booth, where seafarers could gain insights into the benefits and services available and have queries addressed.

Throughout the day, colleagues were treated to delicious snacks likes pastries and pizza. Adding to the festive atmosphere was the "Spin to Win" activity, where participants could win exclusive Odfjell merchandise, including tote bags, multi-purpose pouches, and emergency kits.

As a token of appreciation, all reporting crew members received a specially designed luggage tag, symbolizing their essential role in the maritime industry and the company’s gratitude for their dedication and hard work.

‘The Day of the Seafarer celebration at Odfjell’s Manila office not only recognized the vital contributions of seafarers but also reinforced the company’s commitment to promoting safety and well-being at sea,” said Odfjell Philippines Inc. (OPI) President and General Manager Agnes Enesio. “This event served as a heartfelt thank you to all seafarers, whose tireless efforts keep the world’s maritime trade moving forward,” she continued.
