Last week marked the 43rd Annual Meeting of the Latin American Petrochemical and Chemical Association (APLA) in São Paulo, and as per usual, Odfjell seized the opportunity to showcase our industry innovation, safety and sustainability efforts.

With over 1,000 attendees from 24 countries and 320 companies in the chemical and petrochemical sector, the event was a hub of innovation, networking, and collaboration.

Odfjell takes center stage

On the second day of the conference, Odfjell alongside Granel Química and Flumar, hosted a lunch, offering 150 attendees from major companies like Braskem, Dow, Indorama ex Oxiteno, Lyondell, Vibra, Petrobras, and Rhodia an opportunity for networking and relaxation before the scheduled meetings and programs organized by APLA.

As Monday and Tuesday unfolded, Odfjell continued to be at the forefront of discussions, renting a room to hold meetings with suppliers and customers at the prestigious Sheraton WTC Hotel, the primary venue for the APLA Congress.

The annual APLA Run

The annual APLA Run added a sporty touch to the conference, presenting a 2 KM – 5 KM race open to all conference attendees. Representing Odfjell in this spirited event, Ship Operator Adriana Harding Schreiber and Senior Ship Operator Ronaldo Gimenes, eagerly took on the challenge.
