In compliance with Brazilian regulations, all seafarers must obtain the Seafarer's Identity Document (SID). This is now among the requirements for crew change in South America.
The acknowledgement of the Seafarers Identification Record Book (SIRB), otherwise known as Seaman’s book, will only be allowed until April 30 of this year.
If you have not obtained your SID yet, please contact your vessel handler or crewing officer.
