The previous President of Framo and now President of the Marine Division at Alfa Laval, Sameer Kalra, visited Odfjell together with members of Framo's management team for the official hand-over. In his talk, Kalra highlighted the pioneering and innovations that have come out of the cooperation between our two companies, and the value of having close, long term industry relationships.
CEO Kristian Mørch replied:
“We very much appreciate this, it is a key piece of equipment for Odfjell’s ships. Today, we have more than 2500 pumps in operation on the Odfjell managed fleet. The fleet handles around 1 million tonnes per month, which means that every hour, round the clock, 1500 tonnes pass through one of these pumps – successfully and reliably. If we didn’t have equipment that could do that, we wouldn’t have a business, so this is really important for us and we are proud to have a model at the office. I’m sure it will become a showpiece when we have customers and other visitors here."
The model is on display at the headquarters in Bergen.
