As you read this, Second Engineer Samuel Jaquilmac and Pumpman Arvin Juan have probably boarded their flights to San Franciso, and then to Panama, to join SC Hercules at the Port of Balboa. They will be accompanied by Bård Lysen, Teamleader Superintendency, who will join the kickoff meeting.
SC Hercules is the first of the four Sinochem vessels that will be transferred to Odfjell management. The vessel will be renamed Bow Hercules upon delivery, tentatively scheduled first week of October, and will sail under Norwegian flag.
Since January, a lot of work has been carried out as preparation for the takeover. Unfortunately, the transfer has been delayed, but we are pleased to inform that this is finally happening.
