Seven vessels and a team of cadets participated in the fifth virtual social that also featured performances from Bow Clipper and Bow Sun.

The fifth edition of the bimonthly virtual event introduced changes to keep participants engaged, and committed to serve as platform in showcasing the talents of seafarer colleagues.

The recorded performance of Bow Sun’s acoustic star Chief Cook Gil de Veyra and Bow Clipper’s The Black 5 Clipper entertained the competitive audience.

The Black 5 Clipper featured Third Officer Anthony Tuala and Fourth Engineer Kenneth Parado on vocals, Wiper AC Salva on guitar, OS Nicole Olbes on bass, and AB Ian Nucup on drums, supported by musical directors Chief Officer Julius Oaferina and Second Engineer Rico Morales.

The game challenged participating vessels to recall the brand or company names represented by the maritime-themed logos. Bow Sun emerged as the winner with an almost perfect score, followed by the team of Odfjell’s 26th batch of cadets, and Bow Cecil.

Global Head of Ship Management Torger Trige delivered the closing message all the way from Portugal, thanking Bow Aquarius, Bow Cecil, Bow Clipper, Bow Firda, Bow Odyssey, Bow Saga, Bow Sun and the cadets for their participation. The cadets, who were then attending a course in Manila, were invited to participate to get a glimpse of the social aspect of life on board.
