Building a safer workplace: First aid training in Manila and Bergen

03.07.2025
Colleagues from the Manila and Bergen offices recently completed first aid training sessions as part of our continued focus on workplace safety and emergency preparedness.

In Manila, colleagues joined for a two-day Occupational First Aid and Basic Life Support (BLS) with CPR and AED training, facilitated by the Philippine Red Cross.

The course covered the principles of first aid and life support, emergency action steps, CPR techniques, and the use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs). All participants successfully completed the course. Certificates and Red Cross IDs will be distributed in the coming weeks.

Meanwhile in Bergen, in-house first aid training conducted by Norsk Folkehjelp (Norwegian People’s Aid) focused on key topics including:

  • The first aid chain and emergency notification
  • Examination of an unresponsive person
  • Appropriate behavior at the scene of an injury

“This initiative forms part of our ongoing efforts to build a safer workplace and ensure that trained responders are available when emergencies occur,” shares Safety Officer Reny Ortega.
