Bow Tribute makes contact with barge in Mississippi

While under pilotage downwards the Mississippi river on the afternoon of March 16 (local time), Bow Tribute made contact with a barge. No personnel injuries or pollution is reported, and the ship has been moved to a nearby wharf for further assessment of damages and to perform needed repairs.

After the allision, the Captain immediately dropped anchor and notified the relevant authorities.

Following an initial inspection and testing, Bow Tribute was permitted to proceed with Pilot upstream for safe anchorage and later to a nearby wharf, where the damages are now being further investigated. There is no cargo on board.

Resources from Bergen and Houston continue to assist the Captain and crew, and coordinate the necessary actions in cooperation with agent, Coast Guard, H&M and other relevant authorities.
