Bow Sea is one of the ships in the Odfjell fleet that carries cargo across the globe. This is why its crew are used to month-long voyages across the Pacific. But sometimes, having nothing but a vast ocean to look at during a long journey can cause boredom, stress even, among the crew. Captain Marvin Marmolejo and the rest of the officers and engineers on board Bow Sea must have had this in mind when they organized the Inter-Pacific Games held on February 9th, the first day of the vessel's month-long journey across the Pacific.
Themed Igniting Team Spirit for Building Future Success, the tournament aimed to develop teamwork and camaraderie among the crew towards a safe voyage and efficient operations. It consisted of games that made the crewmembers work together and challenges that brought out the team player in every participant.
The players did not disappoint, as they showed enthusiasm in participating both in the group and individual games.
The activity was concluded with the awarding of prizes to the winners and distribution of souvenirs. We were all delighted to receive tokens, but it was the fun and laughter we shared with each other the entire day that made us happier. As we all gathered to enjoy the food prepared by the galley boys, we reflected on the day that passed, and knew that the joy it brought would linger in our hearts.
