Bow Prosper is built at the Fukuoka shipyard in Nagasaki, Japan. The design and construction process has been run in close cooperation between the yard, Odfjell and ship owner Taihei, and the result is a highly advanced and energy-efficient chemical tanker. The vessel is tailor-made for round-the-world chemical tanker trading, including thermal oil heating capacity.
Officially named in September last year, Bow Prosper is commercially managed by Odfjell Tankers, technically managed by our Ship Management department and manned by Odfjell seafarers. She sails under the Norwegian flag.
On February 25, the pioneer crew of Bow Prosper sailed towards Sandakan Port in Sabah, Malaysia where they will load various grades of palm oil as the vessel’s first cargo.
