When we stopped issuing Bow News last December 2017, we initially aimed to launch a new version in March 2018. For many reasons we didn’t succeed with that and had to spend some more time on this project, I am sure you have noticed that. Please do accept my apologies for the time it has taken to revamp.
We are now ready to introduce the new Bow News and I hope you will all be pleasantly surprised. It’s actually a milestone for Odfjell, where digitalization at large is really high on the agenda. Digitalization will transform our way of doing business in the future.
All of you guys will now receive the news directly on your phone, laptop or on computers on board to your personal email. In a digital format like this, sharing of information is much faster and easier than before.
Contributions to Bow News from the seafarers are most welcome just like in the past. The big difference is that with a digital platform, there are possibilities for extensive use of pictures, illustrations and videos to spice up the stories and articles. You will also notice by and by that the frequency of issuing Bow News will differ from the past.
As with the old PDF version, the content in the e-newsletter is to be considered internal information for Odfjell employees only. We therefore urge you not to share with external parties. As always, Odfjell’s Code of Conduct applies, so keep confidentiality considerations top of mind. You are of course free to share any information that is posted on the external Odfjell.com site.
I really hope you will enjoy this new way of communication between shore-based personnel and you, our seafarers. It is now filled with more relevant and interesting content, specially curated for you. My special thanks for accomplishing the new digital Bow News goes to our colleagues Anngun, Shiela and Hya who have worked so hard to put this together for you guys.
Enjoy!
