Odfjell management was in Houston for the full week, with budget meetings for terminals and other meetings for tankers and corporate.
The Board meeting was followed by two external presentations: One by the Greater Houston Port Bureau who discussed ‘Current and future complexity of Port of Houston’, and one from ICIS who presented ‘Trends in the Chemical Industry’.
The extensive program also included a presentation from the management at Odfjell Terminals Houston (OTH) and a tour of the terminal, as well as a visit onboard Bow Flora alongside at OTH.
After the site and ship visit, board and management discussed company strategy, and potential synergies between Tankers and Terminals. In the evening, a broad group of local management joined the board and management for an informal dinner.
The board was happy to visit OTH and Bow Flora, and especially noted how interesting it was to experience the complexity and size of OTH and the terminal industry in Houston, and the good shape of 20-year old Bow Flora.
