Anti-Corruption in Odfjell

04.07.2018
Odfjell strengthens commitment against bribery and corruption with the launch of Corporate Anti-Corruption Policy and Procedure.

As a follow-up to the implementation of Maritime Anti-Corruption Network’s (MACN) "Say No" campaign on board, Odfjell has adopted a Corporate Anti-Corruption Policy, and recently launched the Anti-Corruption Procedure. The Procedure serves as a guide on how the Policy should be interpreted within Odfjell, and how the Policy is implemented, ensured and maintained.

The Procedure defines corruption as any ‘request, receipt or offer of an improper advantage or the acceptance of any improper advantage in connection with a position, office or assignment’.

It enumerates the three corrupt practices — bribery, facilitation payment and trading in influence — and provides guidelines on how employees can deal with such practices.

The Odfjell Anti-Corruption Procedure is summarized in the two posters below. Click on the image to download a high-resolution copy that you can print and display on board.
